Eden Valley 1961 Block Riesling
Wine
Pewsey Vale Eden Valley 1961 Block Riesling comes from the oldest vines at Pewsey Vale, situated in the centre of an amphitheatre on a gentle slope.
On a north facing aspect, the 1961 Block embraces the sun from its first to its last rays. The vines grow in contoured rows that form natural terraces, maximizing the impact of even the smallest scatters of rain.
The wine is a new interpretation of Riesling from this historic vineyard. All the fruit is handpicked. Fermentation occurs with wild yeasts, then the wine is aged on lees for several months prior to bottling and release.
Pale straw, Pewsey Vale Eden Valley 1961 Block Riesling is taut and seamless with crushed quartz minerality. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
